Brief Biography
Graduated with Bachelor of Engineering in 1982 from the Harbin Institute of Ship Engineering and Technology, Master of Engineering in 1984 and PhD in 1987 from the Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the University of Kaiserslautern 1990 to 1992. Joined the University of Sydney as a Lecturer in 1992 and promoted to Senior Lecturer (1995) and Reader (1998) and a full Professor in 2002 at the School of Aerospace, Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering. Elected a Fellow of Australian Academy of Technological Science & Engineering (FTSE) in 2005.
