Since I was awarded a PhD degree in early 2000 at the University of Sydney, I have worked as a research staff in the same university. My research work covers five major parts:
development of micro-mechanics models and FEA models for prediction of the mechanical behaviour and failure strengths of 3D reinforced composites;
experimental investigation for mechanical properties and failure mechanism of composite materials;
development of analytical models for the electro-elastic behaviour of PZT fibre reinforced composite materials;
investigation of the dynamic characteristics of a beam system with active PZT fibre reinforced composites, and
modelling development for identifying a delamination embedded in a composite beam using PZT reinforced composites.
