PCLAB

PCLAB is a network of over 100 computers centered mainly in rooms S345, S322, S329 and N216 of the School. Its primary function is the support of teaching for the various Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Undergraduate degree streams. In order that the lab functions as efficiently as possible, we have some rules governing its operation, safety and availability. Please read the following documents for detailed information.

Licensed Software

It is recommended that for viewing AMME web pages the most recent browser and plug-in software be used. The latest Browser software and other programs licensed for use by USyd staff and students is available at

It is strongly recommended that university staff download and install the latest virus protection. Norton Anti-virus software is available for USyd machines from the above site. Make sure you update virus definitions at least once per week. Checks for "Critical Patches" to MS Windows software should also be done on a regular basis.
