Turbulent Stratified Flames
INTRODUCTION
Stratified flames play a significant role in modern engines but remain vaguely understood due to the complexity of parameters that control such flows and the significant interactions between turbulence and chemical kinetics. This project is aimed at investigating the structure of stratified flames under different levels of stratification and with sufficiently high shear rate such that the flames may be driven towards extinction. More information will be supplied as it becomes available.
