University of Sydney has over 100 research staff and postgraduate students, from over 5 faculties, researching various aspects of tissue engineering. Tissue Engineering research is carried out in the Medicine, Engineering and Information Technologies, Science, Veterinary Science and Pharmacy faculties, and includes the following research fields:
- Biomaterials & Skeletal Tissue,
- Soft Tissue Engineering, and
- Cellular Engineering
ADATE aims to achieve the following outcomes:
- Foster opportunities for multidisciplinary research collaborations
- Develop and facilitate use of a broad range of scientific and laboratory expertise amongst researchers at the University of Sydney
- Bring together industry and researchers
- Build involvement and support from industry, government and other funding organisations.
